History of the DeVa Cup
The first DeVa match occurred on August 12, 2000. The first match set the stage for what DeVa has become – the finest competitive / social golf tournament that exists. Virginia won a hard contest when the team of Chris Hall/Logan Ide met the anchor team challenge with aplomb. That night’s festivities were of such an order that both teams agreed that lightning had been caught in a bottle and that DeVa should become an annual event.
